Skechers GOrun Forza was selected out of 48 shoes submitted for the stability category and was reviewed by 16 of Competitor Group’s experienced wear testers. The test process included runners logging multiple runs in each shoe, filling out a two-page questionnaire and engaging in a collective feedback session. Competitor is one of the world's leading running publications, reaching more than 700,000 monthly readers with its print and digital magazine formats and more than 2 million unique followers online at Competitor.com.
“We are thrilled to receive this award from such an influential publication as Competitor magazine,” said Rick Higgins, Senior Vice President, Merchandising/Marketing, Skechers Performance. “Our teams worked closely with our athletes—Meb and Kara Goucher—as well as wear testers, to develop our first stability shoe that offers runners comfort and support while remaining lightweight and flexible. It’s exciting to see the running community embrace our product, and winning the ‘Best Debut’ award from Competitor further solidifies our credibility in the running space. “
"We love this shoe for its ideal mix of cushioning, comfort and support," said Brian Metzler, Editor in Chief of Competitor. "It's a great example of a modern stability shoe that provides the right amount of support without controlling your gait. It's smooth and energetic and provides long-wearing comfort for all types of runs."
Skechers Performance’s GOrun Forza launched in spring 2016 and features an extended medial post for support and Skechers Performance’s new 5GEN midsole foam—a resilient, proprietary compound that offers runners cushioning, coupled with excellent traction and durability. Skechers GOrun Forza is also built with a seamless, lightweight and breathable mesh upper that has reflective detailing for visibility and a high-abrasion rubber outsole.
